Badminton Coaching

From 2nd May we will be running a series of five-week blocks of badminton coaching on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm for beginners & family and 3:15pm for developing players. If you would like to learn a new sport or simply brush up on your racket skills, then please join in.

Junior Golf

We are thrilled to have secured funding from the CalMac Community Fund to run some more junior golf tuition this spring.

Gordon will be back at the Centre on Saturday afternoons starting Saturday 25th April to help you perfect your swing. We are hoping to run two sessions: one for beginners and one for the more advanced youngsters. 12:30-13:15 for beginners and 13:15-14:15 for experienced players.

Smash in2 Badminton

Badminton Scotland will be running two days of Badminton fun for all ages during the Easter Holidays for us. This is a great opportunity to come along and try it, as a family or with some mates, or further develop your playing skills.

Join us on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th April for some basic coaching, fun games and small competitions. There will be different sessions for different ages from Primary 1 to Adult, plus sessions for families to come together.

Daily session times 

P1-3 from 10 - 10:40am                   P4-7 from 11 - 12:00pm

S1-3 from 2 - 4:00pm                       Family Time 5 - 6:00pm

S4+ and Adults from 6:30 - 8:30pm

Gym inductions

Our community gym is now open Mon-Sat 24hrs a day. Annual membership is £50 + £10 security deposit for the key. You need to be aged 16 or over and have completed an induction before you can join the gym.

International Women's Day 2020 Workshop Programme announced!!!

Our celebration event for International Women's Day will be held on Saturday 14th March. So pop the date in your diary and don't miss out!

This years workshops will include: a group Sound Bath from HolisticSoul, T'ai Chi for self defence, yoga and meditation, tales from the henhouse, all that jazz (singing), and willow weaving.

Plus, if the weather is kind Stornoway Rowing Club and the Embark project are hoping to offer some sessions on rowing and cycling.

Back Art Together

We are a group of individuals who all enjoy art. We get together once a month to get creative in a social setting. Some months we will have a particular topic or a demostration from someone in the group but we also just meet up and try something new or work on our own project.

The session satrts at 10.30 and usually runs until about 12.30-1ish when we stop for a bowl of soup.

There is no set fee for attending but we ask for a small donation towards the cost of materials and lunch.

We are open to all ages and abilities, you just have to enjoy art. High energy, fun exercise routine on a mini trampoline.Beginners classes last approx half an hour, advanced classes last approx 50 minutes and include additional toning exercises.

4 week block:   Monday 6.30-7.30 pm starting 2nd March £22

2 week block: As a taster or extra mid-week booster, Thursday 6.30-7.30 pm starting 19th March. £8.50

Beginners Bowls Club Fridays  NEW TIME - 10.30-12   

Looking for a new indoor hobby? Why not try indoor bowls, we are particularly keen to encourage more women to try the sport but everyone is welcome to come along.
